Alghero Territory
Agriturismo Agave is located in a very advantageous tourist spot, where you can enjoy the tranquility of the countryside but at the same time reach the historic center of Alghero in less than 10 minutes.
In the surrounding area you can visit HISTORICAL REMAINS such as the Nuraghe Palmavera, the Domus de Janas and the ancient Roman Ruins. On a NATURALISTIC level, you can visit the famous Neptune's Caves, the only natural lake in Sardinia, Lake Baratz, the Noah's Ark Park where you can see the Giara ponies characteristic of our island. Furthermore, from Alghero you can join organized tours to visit the famous island of Asinara, which has been open to the public for a few years as a nature park.
Alghero
Alghero is the only city in Sardinia that still clearly maintains its Catalan origin, which can be seen in the colors of its yellow and red striped flag, in the style of the buildings in the historic part of the city, and even more so in the dialect—actually the Algherese language—which is practically ancient Catalan. At certain times of the year, it is customary to organize historical and cultural twinnings with Catalonia to share the experiences of two lands that were once united.
But the territory of Alghero is above all Sardinian, characterized by the intense scents of the Mediterranean scrub and surrounded by beautiful beaches.
